This individual will be responsible for requirements development, systems architecture, software architecture, design, implementation, integration, testing, and ongoing support of complex embedded software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with C/C++ software development in Linux and real-time operating system environments and will contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining embedded software, supporting hardware/software integration activities, utilizing code coverage and test automation tools, and ensuring compliance with established engineering processes and standards. This engineer will conduct independent technical investigations of complex issues, improve system performance, and help resolve challenging system requirements concerns. They will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop, integrate, and test products while addressing subsystem compatibility and interface issues. The role also requires participation in specification reviews, architecture reviews, code reviews, and test reviews to ensure successful product delivery. Additional responsibilities include supporting software integration, verification and validation efforts, troubleshooting production issues, and providing timely problem resolution.
