## About the Role

* Strong Data Engineering experience, ideally 10+ years
 * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure data services
 * Strong expertise in data modelling and semantic layer design
 * Experience building data platforms end-to-end
 * Proven ability to work across the full data lifecycle through to Power BI
 * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
 * Previous experience mentoring or managing engineers
 * Experience in low-maturity environments where you've helped establish standards and processes would be highly beneficial

## Description

* Lead the design and development of a modern Microsoft Fabric-based data platform
 * Build scalable data pipelines and implement Lakehouse and Medallion architecture principles
 * Develop robust data models across multiple business domains
 * Establish engineering standards, governance processes and best practices
 * Manage and mentor a small team of Data Engineers
 * Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions
 * Enable downstream analytics and Power BI reporting capabilities
 * Support future AI and advanced analytics initiatives
