## Description

We are seeking a Tier 2 Level 1 Systems Administrator to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing server infrastructure, operating systems, and key software applications within a secure enterprise environment.
The successful candidate will handle escalated technical issues, perform patch management and system configurations, uphold strict security controls, and collaborate on cross-functional IT projects., System Administration & Maintenance
Monitor, manage, and maintain enterprise servers, operating systems, and core business applications.
Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes in compliance with change management policies.
Perform routine system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
User Support & Troubleshooting
Provide advanced technical support for issues escalated from help desk/Tier 1 teams.
Diagnose and resolve complex system, application, and network-related problems.
Assist with user account management, permissions, and access controls.
Implementation & Configuration
Install, configure, and deploy new systems, hardware, applications, and tools.
Assist in system upgrades, migrations, and software integrations.
Document system configurations, procedures, and operational standards.
Security & Compliance
Ensure all systems adhere to organizational security policies and federal guidelines.
Implement and monitor security controls, including antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls, and access management.
Participate in audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability remediation tasks.
Monitoring & Reporting
Use enterprise monitoring tools to track system performance, availability, and capacity.
