## About the Role

* Extensive hands-on Snowflake experience, with strong dbt skills in transformation, modelling and deployment
 * Advanced Python development skills for data engineering and automation
 * Strong SQL Server experience, including database design, optimisation and troubleshooting
 * Solid grounding in data warehousing, star schema and dimensional modelling, plus source control and CI/CD
 * Banking or financial services background, ideally in credit or market risk, and confidence engaging senior stakeholders
 * Desirable: experience with Control-M, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Azure data services, Snowflake Streamlit, cloud migration, near-real-time processing, AI or generative AI tools, market, credit or counterparty risk, regulatory reporting, or capital and liquidity reporting

## Description

* Design, build and maintain scalable Snowflake data solutions for risk, finance and regulatory reporting
 * Build and optimise ELT/ETL pipelines and reusable dbt transformation frameworks
 * Develop Python-based processing, automation and integration, and design dimensional and analytical data models
 * Tune Snowflake queries and workloads for performance and cost, and resolve complex production issues
 * Support migration of legacy platforms to the cloud and contribute to architecture and technical standards
 * Run requirements workshops with business stakeholders and provide technical leadership through delivery
