## About the Role

* 1 or more years of back end engineering experience in a high level programming language, ideally Golang and/or Java
 * Experience with cloud platforms and products across AWS, GCP and/or Azure
 * Experience implementing data intensive systems including databases, event systems and messaging systems
 * Solid understanding of CI and CD practices
 * Experience with microservices based architecture
 * Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field

Nice to Have:

 * Experience with eBPF, cloud security or observability tooling
 * Exposure to graph databases such as Neo4j
 * Background working on high throughput, distributed systems at scale

## Description

* Own the full lifecycle of projects from initial design and development through to deployment, monitoring and maintenance in production
 * Perform reliability and performance analysis on Golang and Java based applications
 * Contribute to technical and architectural designs, capacity planning and the definition of SLOs
 * Conduct design and code reviews as part of the wider engineering group
 * Collaborate across Frontend, DevOps and Product teams to deliver high quality features
 * Work with cutting edge technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Neo4j, ElasticSearch, Redis, TimescaleDB and RabbitMQ
