Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience working inside a manufacturing company, industrial OEM, or OT security vendor, with familiarity in supply chain risk, product lifecycle, and industrial safety practices. * Ability to build trust with senior technical and operational stakeholders, using excellent presentation and whiteboarding skills to communicate complex technical details and executive-level business narratives. * Relevant industry certifications (e.g., GICSP, CISSP, Splunk Core Certified Power User/Architect) and familiarity with frameworks like IEC 62443 and NIST 800-82. * Experience with asset discovery and network monitoring tools purpose-built for OT environments, alongside Industrial IoT (IIoT) technologies. * Success in driving AI adoption, utilizing Agentic AI, LLMs, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to build internal tooling and automate business processes. * A background in Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) and change management to ensure successful implementation and adoption of complex technical solutions. ## Description Splunk's Industry Solutions Engineering organization is building deep, vertical-specific technical expertise into our go-to-market motion! As an Industry Solutions Engineer for Manufacturing, you will be the technical authority on how Splunk's AI-powered security and observability platform addresses the specific IT/OT convergence, production resiliency, supply chain, and industrial security challenges facing discrete and process manufacturers. Partner with account teams, industry sales leaders, and customers to translate manufacturing-specific operational and security requirements into differentiated technical solutions and win strategies. This is a high-visibility, individual-contributor role reporting into the Industry Solutions Engineering organization, working closely with core Solutions Engineering, industry go-to-market leadership, and product teams.
