## About the Role

* 3+ years of professional software development experience.
 * Strong experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
 * Professional experience developing backend applications and APIs using Node.js.
 * Experience building modern web applications using React.
 * Experience with Next.js or similar React-based frameworks.
 * Strong understanding of REST APIs and modern web application architecture.
 * Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
 * Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
 * Understanding of automated testing and CI/CD practices.
 * Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
 * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

 * Strong TypeScript experience.
 * Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar platforms.
 * Experience applying AI tools responsibly within a professional software development workflow.
 * Experience with AWS, Azure, or another major cloud platform.
 * Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
 * Experience with GraphQL.
 * Experience building event-driven or asynchronous applications.
 * Familiarity with building AI-enabled applications or integrating LLM services.
 * Experience working in an Agile development environment.
 * Familiarity with application monitoring, observability, and performance optimization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 * Work is performed primarily in an indoor office or home-office environment using standard office equipment
 * Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding, data entry, and operating office equipment/computer and participating in virtual or in-person meetings

## Description

* Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using React and Next.js.
 * Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.
 * Develop reusable, maintainable components and services following modern development practices.
 * Design and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
 * Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to store, retrieve, and manage application data.
 * Use AI-assisted development tools effectively for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, refactoring, and solution design.
 * Review and validate AI-generated code to ensure quality, security, maintainability, and correctness.
 * Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver new features.
 * Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and development planning.
 * Troubleshoot production issues and improve application reliability and performance.
 * Write automated tests and contribute to CI/CD processes.
 * Follow secure software development practices and help maintain high standards for code quality.
