The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in Python development, along with the ability to work effectively with Java-based applications and services. The role requires strong knowledge of backend engineering, REST APIs, microservices, databases, cloud environments, automated testing, and modern software development practices. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong coding, debugging, problem-solving, and system design capabilities., * Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and services primarily using Python. * Develop clean, maintainable, reusable, and production-quality Python code. * Work with existing and new Java-based applications, APIs, and microservices. * Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices across Python and Java ecosystems. * Develop Python applications using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, and/or Django. * Work with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Framework. * Design solutions for high-volume and performance-sensitive applications. * Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or similar technologies. * Develop efficient SQL queries and troubleshoot application/database performance issues. * Implement asynchronous and event-driven processing using technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. * Develop unit, integration, and automated tests using frameworks such as PyTest, unittest, JUnit, and Mockito. * Participate in application design, technical architecture, code reviews, debugging, and production support. * Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes. * Work with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. * Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers in an Agile/Scrum environment. * Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes. * Follow software engineering best practices related to code quality, security, scalability, performance, and observability.
