## Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Software Engineering to provide technical and organizational leadership for one or more enterprise software products and platforms. This role is responsible for engineering execution, software architecture, operational excellence, talent development, and cross-functional delivery.

The Director of Software Engineering partners closely with Product Management, Architecture, Customer Success, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure technology investments deliver measurable business and customer outcomes. While leading and developing engineering teams, this individual will remain actively engaged in technical decision-making, architecture reviews, engineering best practices, and delivery execution.

This position has end-to-end ownership of engineering delivery for assigned products and platforms, including technical strategy, resource planning, roadmap execution, operational health, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop software engineering teams through coaching, performance management, and career development planning. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous learning, and technical excellence. Build and maintain a high-performing engineering organization focused on delivering business value and exceptional customer experiences. Develop future engineering leaders through succession planning and mentorship. Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering decision-making. Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, automation, DevOps methodologies, and AI-assisted software development capabilities. Establish engineering standards, development practices, and operational processes that promote scalability, maintainability, security, and reliability. Lead technical design reviews and guide architecture decisions across complex
distributed systems. Product & Delivery Management Partner with Product Management and business stakeholders to define product roadmaps, prioritize investments, and deliver customer-focused solutions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering effectiveness, software quality, operational excellence, and delivery predictability. Ensure successful execution of engineering roadmaps while balancing business priorities, technical debt, and innovation. Manage engineering resources and align team capacity with strategic objectives. Operational Excellence Develop and maintain key engineering, delivery, reliability, and operational metrics to measure team and platform performance.
