Work Location: Hybrid remote in Houston, PA 15342 ## Description The vCIO is the strategic technology partner for our clients. Your primary job is strategic planning: understanding each client's business, building a roadmap and budget that supports where they're headed, and making sure that plan actually gets executed. You do that while owning the relationship with the owner or decision-maker, maintaining it, and building on it over time. The right person is a trusted advisor first. You are comfortable in a room with business owners and executives, you can translate technology into business terms, and you get energized when solving a client's problem turns into a project that moves them forward., * Build and maintain a technology roadmap for each client, typically 12 to 18 months out, covering infrastructure, hardware lifecycle, licensing, and projects. * Lead annual budgeting with each client so priorities and spend are agreed at the start of the year, not discovered along the way. * Run quarterly business reviews that show progress against the roadmap, surface new risks, and set the next priorities. * Turn findings from technology alignment reviews and the vCISO into clear recommendations, proposals, and approved work. * Coordinate with the vCISO so compliance and IT priorities show up as one plan for the client. * Match the depth of planning to the client. Most get the full vCIO process; technically advanced clients may need you more for budgeting, relationship, and account management than for technical direction. Account Management * Own the relationship with the owner or decision-maker at each of your clients, and serve as their central point of contact. * Know each client's business, goals, and people well enough to anticipate what they need next. * Hear it first when service falls short, advocate for the client internally, and own the follow-through until it's resolved. * Identify accounts at risk early and lead the plan to turn them around. * When compliance or roadmap work stalls on the client side, have the direct business conversation with leadership to get it moving. Growth Through the Relationship * Discover new needs as the client's business changes and bring forward solutions that fit the roadmap, whether that's a project, a lifecycle refresh, licensing, or a new service. * Look beyond our own catalog for ways to help, such as telecom, vendor consolidation, or a referral partner, when it's right for the client. * Ask for referrals. Clients who trust you know other businesses with the same problems. * Track every opportunity in HubSpot and see it through to a decision. Process & Collaboration * Hand off approved projects to Service Delivery with complete scope and context, then keep the client informed through completion. * Work closely with the vCISO, Technology Alignment, and Service Delivery teams as one account team. * Document client meetings, decisions, and time in our PSA so the account history is always current.
