## About the Role

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: + Bachelor's degree in computer science or another related field. + May be required to meet additional DCWF 8140/8570 certification requirements REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: + Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of Systems Administration experience in a secure DoD environment. + Experience with complex software installations and upgrades. + Experience working with workstations and servers. + Experience in providing system administrative recommendations for upgrades, resolutions and implementation as needed.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE: + United States Citizenship required. (Green Card not acceptable) + Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

## Description

System Administrator to provide support for our government customer in Laurel, MD at Ft.
Meade. *** POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD.*** DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: + Responsible for high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations and servers. + Coordinates, directs and performs complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. + Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. + Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels. + Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities. + Ensures data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations. + Plans and implements for the modernization of servers. + Develops, implements and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules.

 + Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. + Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
