## About the Role

Do you have experience in SQL?, * You will be surrounded by like-minded, driven, skilled, and highly motivated people who are keen to contribute to successful solutions., * 5+ years in Data Science deploying complex models.

 * Proficient in designing advanced analytics systems and embedding them smoothly into existing product landscapes.
 * Proven ability to autonomously build strategies from scratch and extract high-impact insights from vast datasets.
 * Strong ownership mindset used to drive cross-functional projects and mentor junior team members.

It is awesome if you also have

 * Experienced in tackling geospatial data challenges (a strong asset).
 * Hands-on experience or a deep interest in applying LLMs and modern AI-driven features in a product environment.

## Description

Location data sits at the heart of every delivery, and the Better Places tribe owns the address intelligence that makes those deliveries possible. We ingest messy, real-world address inputs, normalise them, correct geocoding errors, and enrich them with open and proprietary data-all at a scale of hundreds of millions of requests per month.

Within the tribe, the Geo Solutions team builds and maintains the data pipelines that power our address enrichment, first-mile routing, and last-meter delivery features. We focus on building scalable, observable, and high-quality geodata workflows that enable fast onboarding of new markets and continuous improvement in existing ones.

Development: Python, SQL

Warehouses and ML: AWS suite (Athena, Sagemaker), Snowflake

Data pipelines: dbt

Orchestration and Scheduling: Dagster

Dashboarding: Quicksight / Metabase / Streamlit

AI: Copilot / Claude

You will be taking care of

 * Driving the evolution of our delivery intelligence platform, with a focus on developing ML models that optimise the final steps of a delivery and increase productivity for field drivers.
 * Delivering customer-facing, production-ready systems integrated into Bettermile's product suite.
 * Shaping the long-term strategy for hyperlocal delivery intelligence by identifying where it has the largest impact and the most value for customers.
 * Driving cross-team initiatives, contributing to the long-term data strategy, and mentoring more junior data scientists.
