automotive, mining, or related industries is preferred. + Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS), Certified Lubricating Grease Specialist (CLGS), Six Sigma Green Belt, or similar certifications are a plus. + Ability to travel up to 40%. The MOLYKOTE® Specialty Lubricants team is seeking a customer-focused Application Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers facing critical wear, friction, reliability, and performance challenges.
In this highly visible role, you will work directly with engineers, manufacturers, distributors, and end users to understand application needs, investigate root causes, develop innovative solutions, and deliver measurable value.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically curious engineer or scientist who enjoys combining problem-solving, customer engagement, and innovation.
You'll collaborate with global experts in tribology and lubrication science while helping shape next-generation products and technologies for customers around the world. **What You'll Do** + Partner with customers, distributors, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand performance challenges and identify effective technical solutions. + Lead investigations related to friction, wear, lubrication, reliability, and equipment performance using scientific and engineering principles. + Design and execute application testing, validate solution performance, and translate findings into actionable customer recommendations. + Serve as the technical lead for strategic customer opportunities, helping customers improve equipment reliability, productivity, and cost-in-use performance. + Deliver technical training, presentations, and product expertise to customers, channel partners, and internal teams. + Support the development and commercialization of new and enhanced lubricant technologies
