## Description

Part of a dynamic team building and implementing the enterprise Demand Management intake and routing capability within the Apptio platform, focused on configuration, data architecture, and scalable reporting
The Senior Engineer designs, builds and runs the RESTful APIS at the heart of our distributed platform.
Design clean, consistent, versioned RESTful APIS: resource modelling, HTTP semantics, status codes, paginationx, filtering and error contracts.
Write and maintain API specifications and review API designs from other engineers.
Build high-quality, well-tested Java services, primarily with Spring Boot.
Apply API security practices: OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, input validation and rate liiting.
Use asynchronous and event-driven patterns where they fit better than synchronous calls.
Build microservices that stay correct and available under partial failure: timeouts, reties with backoff, circuit breakers, idempotency and graceful degradation.
Design services for scalability and performance.
Contribute to data pipelines that move and transform data between services and databases.
Write unit, integration and contract tests; keep CI?CD pipelines green.
Deploy and run services on containers and cloud infrastructure.
