## About the Role

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
 * Proven experience delivering high-voltage cabling projects, ideally 132kV and above.
 * Strong technical knowledge of cable infrastructure and associated power network systems.
 * Demonstrated experience managing complex engineering and infrastructure projects.
 * Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
 * Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining programme, quality, safety, and commercial performance.
 * Experience using:
 + Microsoft Project
 + Primavera P6
 + AutoCAD
 + Document Management Systems
 * Strong understanding of:
 + National Grid standards
 + DNO and TSO requirements
 + CDM Regulations
 + IEC standards
 * Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
 * Ability to interpret technical drawings, programmes, cost reports, and risk registers.

Desirable

 * PRINCE2, PMP, APM, or equivalent Project Management qualification.
 * Experience working on major transmission and grid connection projects.
 * Knowledge of substation interfaces and cable route construction activities.
 * Experience managing multidisciplinary EPC or infrastructure projects.
 * Familiarity with HV cable installation, testing, and commissioning processes.

## Description

Our client, a leading organisation within the infrastructure and energy sector, is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Cabling) to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale high-voltage cable projects from inception through to commissioning and handover.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering critical power infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will take ownership of project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders., * Lead the planning, management, and delivery of high-voltage cabling projects from design through to commissioning.

 * Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements.
 * Develop and manage project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and risk management strategies.
 * Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
 * Lead multidisciplinary project teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
 * Manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
 * Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while implementing corrective actions as required.
 * Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
 * Ensure full compliance with project specifications, quality standards, health & safety regulations, and client requirements.
 * Oversee delivery activities through design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
 * Provide regular project reporting and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
