## About the Role

* More than 10 years of overall professional IT experience.
 * At least 5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure architecture or closely related infrastructure roles.
 * Senior-level experience working with complex enterprise IT environments.
 * Strong background in IT infrastructure architecture rather than a primarily application or pure cybersecurity profile.

Technical Requirements

 * Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure architecture.
 * Experience designing complex infrastructure solutions and technical architectures.
 * Good understanding of infrastructure security principles and security-by-design concepts.
 * Experience with enterprise infrastructure covering several of the following areas:
o Compute / server infrastructure
o Virtualization
o Cloud and/or hybrid infrastructure
o Storage
o Networking
o Identity and access concepts
o Backup and disaster recovery
o High availability and resilience
o Infrastructure monitoring and operations

 * Ability to assess existing IT landscapes and develop target architecture concepts.
 * Ability to produce architecture documentation and communicate technical designs clearly.
 * Experience working across multiple infrastructure domains and coordinating technical dependencies.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Requirements

 * Previous experience with customers from defense, public sector, critical infrastructure or other highly regulated environments.
 * Experience working with demanding enterprise security and compliance requirements.
 * Relevant architecture, infrastructure, cloud or security certifications.
 * Experience working in large and complex enterprise organizations.
 * Existing security clearance / Sicherheitsüberprüfung (SÜ) is an advantage but not mandatory.

## Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Architect to support an enterprise customer in the defense sector.
The role has a strong infrastructure architecture focus, complemented by security-related responsibilities. The architect will support the design and
evolution of secure, scalable and resilient enterprise infrastructure environments and act as a senior technical expert across infrastructure and
security topics.

Key Responsibilities

 * Design and further develop enterprise IT infrastructure architectures.
 * Define technical architecture concepts, standards and solution designs for infrastructure environments.
 * Assess existing infrastructure landscapes and identify technical improvement and modernization opportunities.
 * Design secure and resilient infrastructure solutions taking security requirements into consideration.
 * Provide architecture guidance across infrastructure, platform and security-related topics.
 * Evaluate technical solutions and provide recommendations regarding architecture, integration, scalability, security and operational feasibility.
 * Support technical decision-making and translate business or technical requirements into appropriate infrastructure solutions.
 * Collaborate with customer stakeholders, technical specialists, engineering teams and other architects.
 * Ensure architectural consistency across relevant infrastructure domains.
 * Review technical concepts and identify architecture, infrastructure and security risks.
 * Support the implementation and evolution of infrastructure solutions as a senior architecture SME.
 * Create and maintain architecture documentation, technical concepts and recommendations.
