## About the Role

* At least 5years of experience providing data analytics support to U.S. Navy program offices
 * Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
 * Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance
 * Bachelor's degree in math, science, engineering, or related field from an institution accredited in the United States
 * Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
 * Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
 * Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients

## Description

The Mid-Level Data Scientist will provide data analytics support to D PAE Maritime M & S, the U.S. Navy's program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment., * Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.

 * Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
 * Visualize, interpret, and report data findings by creating dynamic data reports.
 * Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
 * Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines.
 * Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action.
 * Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation
 * Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items
 * Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations
 * Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required
 * Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC's clients.
