## About the Role

* Professional software engineering experience with application development
 * Strong background with Node.js and JavaScript or similar application development technologies
 * Experience working in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related roles
 * Hands-on experience deploying applications into Kubernetes environments
 * Experience working with cloud-native infrastructure and services
 * Strong Linux and Unix administration experience
 * Experience with shell scripting and automation
 * Programming or scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
 * Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
 * Experience with infrastructure automation or Infrastructure as Code practices
 * Ability to collaborate effectively across development and infrastructure teams
 * Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technology evaluation skills

Desired Skills & Experience

 * Production experience with Node.js and JavaScript
 * Experience with AWS, Azure, or another major cloud platform
 * Experience with managed Kubernetes services such as AKS
 * Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools
 * Experience supporting containerized Linux applications
 * Background working with microservices architectures
 * Experience with RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or similar messaging platforms
 * Experience migrating applications or infrastructure from on-premises environments to the cloud

The role serves as the connection point between software engineering and infrastructure teams, supporting the ongoing modernization of a large-scale examination platform used in high-stakes clinical assessments. This engineer will work directly with developers to shape deployment strategies, containerization approaches, cloud adoption efforts, and operational practices while helping deliver scalable, secure, and reliable applications. The position is heavily focused on collaboration with software engineers and is best suited for someone with a software development background who has moved into DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering., Daily Responsibilities
