## About the Role

* Strong hands-on experience delivering LLM applications, RAG pipelines, AI agents and evaluation frameworks.

## Description

We are looking for an experienced Applied AI Engineer to support the design and development of an AI-first operating model for a new UK law enforcement organisation.

The role combines AI engineering, solution design and hands-on development, helping shape how AI assistants and agents are integrated into organisational processes, governance and decision-making.

You'll work within a multidisciplinary Agile team, taking solutions from discovery and design through to working prototypes and production-quality implementations., * Design AI-first operating models, including AI agent governance, human oversight and automation opportunities.

 * Build and test LLM-based applications, AI agents and workflows using production engineering standards.
 * Develop cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
 * Evaluate AWS and Azure platform options, identifying technical trade-offs.
 * Use AI-powered discovery and agentic coding tools to accelerate research, development and delivery.
 * Collaborate with stakeholders, produce technical designs and demonstrate working solutions during Agile sprints.
 * Support user testing and co-design activities where required.
