## About the Role

Level: Mid-level, 3 to 5 years in reporting, business intelligence, or data analytics, * 3 to 5 years of experience in report development, business intelligence, or data analytics

 * Hands-on experience building dashboards in a cloud BI tool such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, with a willingness to learn a newer platform
 * Strong SQL skills, including CTEs, window functions, and performance tuning, with experience querying and modeling data in a cloud data warehouse
 * A solid grasp of data modeling concepts such as star schema and fact and dimension tables
 * A proven ability to turn business questions into clear, actionable reports and visualizations
 * Experience designing self-service reporting for non-technical users
 * Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both business and technical audiences
 * Experience documenting report logic, metric definitions, and data sources
 * Advanced Excel
 * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
 * A self-starter who works well independently and on a team, with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

 * Experience migrating reports from legacy tools such as SSRS, Crystal Reports, or Excel to a modern BI platform
 * Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as dbt or Fivetran
 * Experience with ERP or CRM data structures
 * Python and Git or version control
 * Exposure to supply chain, logistics, or distribution data

## Description

* Partner with business stakeholders to understand the questions they need answered, the decisions they make, and the KPIs they track
 * Translate those needs into clear reporting requirements
 * Design, build, and maintain reports and interactive dashboards in a modern cloud BI platform
 * Create self-service workbooks and curated, certified datasets so teams can explore data without waiting on IT
 * Write and optimize SQL queries, views, and reporting data models in a cloud data warehouse
 * Take stock of the current report inventory, then lead the retirement, consolidation, and migration of legacy reports
 * Establish reporting standards, including naming conventions, visual design guidelines, and trusted data sources
 * Define and document business metrics and KPIs so there is one consistent version of the truth
 * Validate data accuracy and reconcile report results against source systems
 * Monitor dashboard performance and query efficiency and cost, and tune as needed
 * Manage workspaces, folder structure, and user access and permissions in coordination with IT
 * Train and support end users on dashboards and self-service reporting
 * Collaborate with data engineering and development teams to improve data pipelines and source data
 * Resolve help desk cases related to reports and data access
