The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality mobile applications at scale, possess deep technical expertise, and demonstrate strong leadership and mentorship abilities. This role is critical to ensuring that our Android applications are performant, reliable, and provide an exceptional user experience. This role's scope encompasses the entire Engineering department, with a focus on collaborating across multiple teams. Additionally, the position will take on leadership responsibilities within the Android chapter, ensuring the successful execution of all related duties and initiatives. Key responsibilities * Lead the technical direction, architecture, and long-term evolution of our Android applications * Guide the Android chapter through standards, mentoring, reviews, and technical decision-making * Propose scalable modular solutions that support multiple teams and a growing product * Work closely with Product, Design, QA, Infrastructure, and other Staff-level partners * Drive modernization initiatives, manage technical debt and improve the developer experience. * Translate product strategy and complex requirements into clear technical approaches.
