## About the Role

* 7+ years' experience within the white goods industry
 * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or Embedded Systems
 * Strong embedded firmware development experience using C/C++
 * Proven experience designing custom PCBs and electronic control systems
 * Proficient with Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle or similar
 * Experience developing firmware for microcontrollers
 * Strong electronics testing, soldering and debugging skills
 * Experience taking electronic products from prototype through to production
 * Good understanding of electrical safety and product compliance
 * HVAC, thermoelectric, Peltier or power electronics experience advantageous
 * Experience with PID control and thermal management systems beneficial

## Description

* Design and develop custom PCBs, including schematics, layouts and component selection
 * Develop embedded firmware using C/C++ and Python
 * Design control systems for thermoelectric modules, fans, sensors and actuators
 * Implement real-time control algorithms and feedback loops
 * Develop communication interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C and Modbus
 * Carry out PCB prototyping, testing and debugging
 * Perform hardware-in-the-loop testing and signal verification
 * Work with oscilloscopes, logic analysers and laboratory test equipment
 * Ensure designs meet relevant BS, IEC and CE requirements
 * Collaborate with mechanical, thermal and controls engineers
 * Support manufacturing integration and design for manufacture
 * Manage component selection, supplier coordination and BOM optimisation
