Day-to-day, you will work across systems that sit at the heart of this organisation - from telemetry and real-time communications platforms to simulation tools and analysis pipelines used by key stakeholders. This is a hands-on leadership position; you will remain a working engineer contributing directly to design and code, not simply directing from a distance. A significant part of this role involves helping to evolve legacy desktop applications into modern solutions - so an understanding of that migration journey is a real advantage here. The team works across a deliberately broad stack: C++ and C# for desktop and backend services, Rust for performance-critical work, React and TypeScript on the front end, AI tooling is actively embraced across the group, and an enthusiasm for applying it pragmatically will be welcomed.
