## About the Role

* 10+ years software engineering experience
 * 2+ years leadership experience managing engineering teams
 * Strong hands-on Java 17+ or Kotlin development experience
 * Strong Spring Boot and microservices architecture experience
 * Experience with Gradle build automation
 * Experience with GitHub Actions and/or CircleCI
 * Strong cloud platform experience
 * Expertise in observability, monitoring and alerting tools such as Sentry
 * Swift (iOS) experience essential
 * Android Kotlin experience essential
 * Agile delivery experience (Scrum/Kanban)

Desirable

 * Enterprise-scale application development experience
 * Travel, loyalty or customer-facing product experience
 * Automated testing and performance testing experience
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar discipline

## Description

My client is seeking a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Back End service layer for a major iOS and Android travel application., * Lead delivery of the mobile application service layer supporting iOS and Android platforms

 * Provide technical leadership across engineering teams and drive engineering best practices
 * Own architecture, design, development and deployment of scalable Back End services
 * Lead technical governance across development teams, vendors and stakeholders
 * Drive CI/CD, automation and cloud-native engineering practices
 * Establish code review, release management and engineering quality standards
 * Mentor engineers and lead team growth, performance and technical maturity
 * Support hiring and development of engineering talent
