## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
 * 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
 * 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies or storage.
 * Experience in the following: database internals, query processing, performance analysis, SQL.
 * Experience programming in C++.

Preferred qualifications:

 * Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
 * Experience with vectorized query runtimes, low-level systems implementation, performance analysis and optimization, and engineering for scalability, high performance, large-scale distributed systems.
 * Experience in the following: influencing, collaboration, concurrency multithreading synchronization, distributed computing, distributed databases.
 * Experience with database query runtimes.
 * Experience working on performance improvement projects spanning multiple functional areas.
 * Experience building infrastructure in Google Cloud or other cloud providers.

 * Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
