## About the Role

* 1+ year of purchasing/buying experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
 * Hands-on SAP experience within purchasing/procurement, including MRP and confidence with T-codes.
 * Full-cycle purchasing know-how: PO creation, vendor confirmations, expediting, and issue resolution.
 * Clear communication, strong organization, collaborative mindset, and ownership of outcomes.
 * Comfort with Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Nice to have: 3+ years in a buying role, advanced Excel capability, experience sourcing materials/components from external suppliers, or prior contract/project work.

## Description

Start your morning scanning SAP MRP exceptions, translating demand signals into clean, accurate purchase orders. You'll line up confirmations with suppliers, expedite critical materials, and keep production flowing without a hitch. As the day unfolds, you'll troubleshoot invoice and delivery discrepancies with Accounting/AP and vendors, maintain pristine data in SAP/ERP, and close the loop by reporting key procurement and inventory KPIs.

What you'll handle

 * Convert approved requisitions into purchase orders via MRP and manage them end to end.
 * Create, place, confirm, and steward POs through delivery, expediting when needed.
 * Continuously monitor MRP to determine what to buy and the timing required for on-time supply.
 * Collaborate with suppliers and internal partners to resolve delivery, purchasing, and invoicing issues.
 * Track inventory positions; analyze backorders, cost variances, and supplier performance gaps.
 * Keep SAP/ERP purchasing and supply chain data current, clean, and actionable.
 * Produce and share key metrics on inventory health and procurement effectiveness.
 * Work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Accounting/AP, and vendor contacts., * Stable, established manufacturer: plug into mature processes and a dependable operation.
