## About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe CICS System Administrator to install, configure, maintain, and optimize IBM CICS Transaction Server environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in CICS systems administration, region management, software upgrades, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting in enterprise mainframe environments., * Strong hands-on experience with IBM CICS Transaction Server (CICS TS).

 * Experience installing, maintaining, upgrading, and supporting CICS environments.
 * Knowledge of CICS regions, DFHSIT parameters, and startup procedures.
 * Experience applying PTFs and performing maintenance upgrades.
 * Expertise in CICS performance monitoring and tuning.
 * Experience with OMEGAMON, MainView, or TMON.
 * Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.
 * Understanding of IBM z/OS mainframe environments.

## Description

CICS Administration & Maintenance

 * Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM CICS Transaction Server (CICS TS) environments.
 * Apply IBM PTFs, maintenance packages, and software fixes.
 * Manage CICS version upgrades and perform regression testing and validation.
 * Configure and maintain CICS regions across production, test, development, and disaster recovery environments.
 * Maintain CICS startup parameters and System Initialization Tables (DFHSIT).
 * Monitor CICS region availability and ensure system stability and reliability.
 * Troubleshoot CICS system issues and coordinate with mainframe infrastructure and application teams.

Performance Monitoring & Tuning

 * Monitor CICS transaction performance, system health, and resource utilization.
 * Use monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON, BMC MainView, and TMON.
 * Analyze transaction response times, CPU utilization, storage usage, and system bottlenecks.
 * Perform performance tuning to improve transaction throughput and response times.
 * Investigate performance degradation and implement corrective actions.

System Support & Troubleshooting

 * Diagnose and resolve CICS region failures, transaction issues, and system-level errors.
 * Support production incidents, root-cause analysis, and problem resolution.
 * Maintain operational documentation, system procedures, and configuration standards.
 * Support disaster recovery activities and ensure operational readiness.
 * Collaborate with z/OS system programmers, DB2 administrators, and application development teams.
