## About the Role

* You have 2 to 5 years of professional experience in software development. Internship experience alone is not sufficient.
 * You are autonomous in day-to-day development work in at least one of these languages: Python or Java. Experience with both is an advantage.
 * You have hands-on experience with public cloud services. Azure is preferred, including knowledge of resource groups, App Service, Functions, containers or equivalent services, identity, storage and monitoring at user level.
 * You understand standard DevOps practices such as Git flow, pull requests, CI/CD, environment promotion and secret hygiene.
 * You work comfortably with Git in a team-based development workflow.
 * You are familiar with Agile ways of working.
 * AZ-900 and/or AZ-204 certification is a plus, but relevant recent cloud experience remains more important than certification.
 * You are curious, collaborative and able to work closely with a lead developer, not only execute assigned tickets.
 * You use English for code, documentation and team communication. Dutch or French is an advantage.

Assets

 * AZ-900, AZ-204, or another Azure developer or fundamentals certification.
 * Docker.
 * SQL, such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server or equivalent.
 * Spring, FastAPI or Flask.
 * Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions with practical experience beyond running a pipeline once.

## Description

To support the ongoing modernisation of its information systems, a public mobility organisation in Brussels is expanding its internal digital team. In this role, you contribute to the development and improvement of business applications within a secure and sustainable environment, working closely with the Solution Architect / Lead Developer and internal stakeholders.
You join a delivery team focused on business applications. You can independently deliver production-ready code in your day-to-day work. Strong command of Python or Java is required, with practical cloud knowledge, ideally in Azure, and a solid understanding of standard DevOps practices.

 * Design, build and maintain application features, mainly on the backend, including APIs, services and data access.
 * Work in a cloud environment, preferably Azure, covering configuration, logging, identity, storage and first-level troubleshooting of the services you use.
 * Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews and automated testing.
 * Apply good development practices, including secure secret handling and proper separation of dev, test and prod environments.
 * Write clear, maintainable code and document delivered features.
 * Estimate and refine work together with the Solution Architect / Lead Developer, and flag risks in time.
 * Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate in pair programming when needed.
 * Develop and maintain REST APIs as part of the application landscape.
