## About the Role

* Strong Python development skills and a solid background in software engineering.
 * Experience building scalable backend applications, services or production-grade software systems.
 * A good understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, particularly integrating and deploying models into production.
 * Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
 * Experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, alongside Docker and Kubernetes.
 * An understanding of software architecture, security, testing and maintainable code.
 * The ability to take ownership of technical decisions, communicate with stakeholders and support the development of other engineers.

## Description

* Lead technical scoping and architectural decisions for complex AI/ML projects.
 * Design and develop production-grade software, tools and scalable infrastructure using Python.
 * Build robust backend systems and reusable components to support the deployment and operation of machine learning models.
 * Help integrate and operationalise models built using frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
 * Work with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or GCP, alongside Docker and Kubernetes.
 * Establish engineering best practices for deploying and maintaining ML systems at scale.
 * Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists and wider technical teams to deliver solutions to client challenges.
 * Provide technical guidance to customers and stakeholders, while mentoring junior engineers and helping shape engineering standards.
