 * Experience designing and building production RESTful APIs as a core part of your day-to-day role
 * Experience operating distributed systems on top of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred, or equivalent experience with Azure/GCP)
 * Hands-on use of AI development tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot) to streamline coding, debugging or documentation
 * Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
 * Ability to participate in on-call rotation (includes weekends and holidays)

Desired:

 * Experience with NoSQL datastores (e.g. DynamoDB)
 * Experience with message queuing (e.g. Simple Queue Service)
 * Experience deploying and supporting containerized applications in Kubernetes
 * Prior experience with telecom or rich messaging platforms (RCS, SMS/MMS, OTT messaging)

., In this role, you'll:

 * Build High-Scale APIs: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance REST APIs and backend microservices using Java and Go.
 * Power Rich Messaging: Build and enhance rich messaging features, managing high-throughput message routing and delivery pipelines.
 * Operate Cloud Systems: Deploy and support backend services in AWS (open to Azure/GCP experience), prioritizing system reliability, low latency, and fault tolerance.
 * Leverage Modern AI Tools: Actively integrate AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) into your daily workflow to accelerate output and elevate code quality.
 * Own System Reliability: Support team on-call rotations to maintain high availability and operational excellence for critical communications services.
 * Collaborate Remotely: Partner asynchronously across distributed engineering teams using clear technical written and verbal communication., We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings.
