## About the Role

Minimum educations and years of experience required: High School/GED and more than three years demonstrated experience assessing, troubleshooting, and performing corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance on systems and equipment. PQS 301 qualification is required. If selected candidate is not PQS 301 qualified on or before hire date, he/she must be willing and able to obtain PQS 301 qualification within three months of employment., Highly desired, but not required:
Active Secret security clearance
Certified ETA Fiber Optic Installer
Performing maintenance of the following equipment:

 * Server Nodes and Networks, IBM HT Blade Servers, Cisco and Nortel Switches, Network Attached Servers, Themis processors.
 * Experience trouble shooting and repairing Low Level Serial and Parallel interface cables.
 * Experience with Network devices and an understanding of Operating Systems, preferably RedHat or UNIX.

## Description

BAE Systems is seeking Aegis Computer Networking Technician with experience in performing comprehensive component and system level maintenance for the AEGIS Weapon System Computing Infrastructure, join our dynamic team of engineers, technologists, and military veterans located at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC), in Wallops Island, VA. The SCSC is located on a barrier island on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is a tenant of the NASA's Wallops Flight Facility. SCSC provides live combat systems suites with platform specific radars and sensors and supports the following functions: combat system lifetime support engineering, platform certification, operational and technical evaluation, combat system training, interoperability testing and participates in at-sea exercises. SCSC provides a high-fidelity representative combat system of every ship in the AEGIS, Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) fleet today and those planned in the future.

The selected candidate will perform comprehensive equipment and system level maintenance on any of following, Schedule planned maintenance actions utilizing the SKED program in accordance with the Navy's Maintenance Material Management (3M) system and also be responsible for documenting all maintenance actions, including repair part requisitions, using the OMNS-NG program., Required Education, Experience, & Skills
