## About the Role

Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

Experience: 11-15 years of experience leading engineering teams and providing oversight for major energy infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills:

 * Understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
 * Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations.
 * Experience in electrical engineering system design, equipment, and installation.
 * Technical, commercial, and financial acumen.
 * Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
 * Skill in basic engineering calculations using spreadsheets and specific software such as HYSYS.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Professional Engineering (PE) certification.
 * Working knowledge of electrical engineering in power plants.
 * Knowledge of electrical engineering integration with renewable energy (wind, solar, battery).
 * Knowledge of "behind the meter" aka "microgrid" systems.
 * Experience in plant interconnection and grid planning modeling., Driving will be required as part of this position's duties. For positions indicating driving requirements, the supplier must hold validation of a non-restricted current driver's license and demonstrate no alcohol/drug-related driving offenses within the previous five years and that the license is not currently suspended or restricted.

## Description

* Plan, organize, and manage engineering projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and leading technical teams.
 * Engage in decision-making, technical analysis, project coordination, and engineering oversight, with a focus on utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations.
 * Serve as an extension of the engineering team to ensure designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and performance goals.
 * Identify opportunities for innovative technologies and projects.
 * Interpret and summarize industry trends and technology forecasts to make recommendations.
 * Lead collaborations with suppliers on solution strategies and evaluate products or services.
 * Provide expertise on the use of codes, standards, and regulations, ensuring compliance.
 * Lead the definition and communication of processes, policies, and procedures.
 * Act as a technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization.
