## About the Role

* Proven background as a Data Architect at enterprise scale
 * Hands-on MDM experience, including design and rollout
 * Strong knowledge of both Legacy data platforms and modern data technologies
 * Track record of migrating or integrating Legacy systems into modern data platforms
 * Deep insurance sector experience (eg general insurance, life, specialty or reinsurance)
 * Solid grounding in data governance, data quality and data modelling
 * Confident working with senior business and technical stakeholders

Desirable

 * Experience with cloud data platforms (eg Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks)
 * Familiarity with MDM tools such as Informatica, Reltio or Profisee
 * Knowledge of insurance regulation and reporting (eg Solvency II, IFRS 17)
 * TOGAF or similar architecture certification

* Define and own the data architecture roadmap across the business
 * Lead master data management (MDM) initiatives from design to delivery
 * Modernise the data estate by integrating Legacy platforms with modern data technologies
 * Set and enforce data governance and data quality standards
 * Work with business and technology stakeholders to support data-driven decisions
 * Provide strategic leadership and technical direction to data teams
 * Support wider business transformation through better use of data
