## About the Role

* Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
 * Experience in managing the full lifecycle of complex engineering projects from conception to delivery
 * Experience with systems engineering principles and practices, including requirements management, architecture design, integration, testing, and verification

Preferred Additional Skills:

 * Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
 * Experience in a leadership role
 * Experience with relevant engineering tools and software.
 * Experience in the weather and antenna/RF industry is preferred

## Description

* Interpretation of customers' mission needs with a focus on identifying solution space and requirements gaps
 * Design and implement ground system enhancements through development of architecture solutions that meet requirements and align with best practices
 * Determines whether enhancement requests can be met with existing capabilities/designs or if new solution designs must be developed
 * Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to design and deploy ground solutions and services
 * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on technologies and best practices
 * Generation of system architecture views; decomposing proposed solutions to addressable configuration items
 * Demonstrates broad and deep technical knowledge; accesses Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed
 * Leads the development of appropriate solutions to customer needs
 * Must be able to obtain a NOAA Public Trust
