## About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Santa Rosa engineering team. This role is ideal for a software engineer with 10 - 15 years of experience who is passionate about architecting and developing embedded software for high-precision timing and synchronization systems., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

 * 10+ years of embedded software development experience.
 * Strong proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python or Bash
 * Experience with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD practices.
 * Strong debugging, analytical, and problem solving skills.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience with embedded networking, TCP/IP protocols, and network-based timing technologies such as NTP or PTP.
 * Experience developing secure software for embedded or network-connected systems.
 * Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) or embedded Linux environments.
 * Experience with Yocto Project - based embedded Linux development and build system customization.
 * Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
 * Ability to manage technical priorities across multiple concurrent development efforts.

 * Lead the design and implementation of reusable embedded software components for precision timing systems.

 * Drive root-cause analysis and resolve software defects discovered during integration and system testing.
