## About the Role

Spark, Python, AWS, SQL, Glue and must be able to build data pipelines
Mostly batch pipelines rather than streaming
Target 5-7 years of experience
Use data bricks to build low fidelity solutions - they also use Snowflake and Airflow so experience with those tools is very helpful.

## Description

* Manager is the Lead for transaction data team - they provide data to all lines of business
 * His team is building data pipeline for a wide array of use cases right now but main focus for these 2 contractors is Discover Personal Loan pipeline
 * They had 2 teams before - but now all one team with several micro pods - this role will do hands on coding, build data pipelines and conduct data analysis
 * 2 roles open now - these are for Discover Personal Loan project - building data pipelines to bring it into cap one ecosystem (DPL is an existing Discover product), * This will be an in person interview with Python and SQL coding test, report to the c2 building for interview - 2 step process back to back - all in one day
 * If candidate has experience building API's, that's a plus and also prior experience supporting pipeline and strong data analysis experience as well as profiling and production support
 * Preference for ex-Cap One not requirement but must be able to ramp up quickly - he will check with past manager before interviewing if prior C1
 * If prior C1, Ok if candidates live in Richmond now but must work in McLean and must come in for face to face interview - his team is all here in McLean so that's why. This is a highly collaborative role.
