We are focused on new air vehicle development programs, and making large groups of autonomous systems work effectively together. Within the Maneuver Dominance team, we are growing an early-stage, undisclosed autonomous air vehicle (AAV) program at our Costa Mesa HQ. This team is chartered with re-inventing an existing platform through heavy modification and integration of advanced autonomy, mission systems, and payloads. On this team, you will be tackling novel challenges across airframe, structures, avionics, and software from day one. As part of this program, you'll work alongside a tight-knit group of mechanical, structural, electrical, and software engineers, together with Program Leads and the Chief Engineer, all embedded in a single team driving toward major milestones. You will work in a lean, high-ownership culture where the entire vehicle team sits side-by-side, iterating quickly and making decisions in real time. Given the early stage of the program, you will have influence over foundational architecture decisions and the opportunity to redefine an existing platform., Anduril is seeking an Integration and Test Engineer with a strong software focus to join the Maneuver Dominance team at our Costa Mesa HQ to help develop and scale our Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) capabilities. This role will focus on the software infrastructure, test framework, automation, and tooling required to bring up and operate complex HITL systems. You will work at the intersection of simulation, hardware integration, and system-level testing to enable reliable and repeatable testing on physical systems., * Develop and maintain the test framework and software infrastructure that bridges our Software-In-The-Loop (SITL) testing to Hardware-In-The-Loop testing, enabling a seamless testing experience across both environments * Develop logging infrastructure and log-processing tooling to capture, organize, correlate, and analyze system behavior during HITL testing * Develop diagnostics and telemetry debug capabilities that provide visibility into system state and enable efficient troubleshooting of integration and test failures * Develop fault-injection capabilities that enable controlled failures and degraded conditions to be introduced and evaluated during testing * Build automated tests to evaluate system behavior, fault detection, handling, recovery, and graceful degradation * Develop configuration management tracking tools to maintain consistent and reproducible HITL configurations * Automate HITL health checks, setup, configuration, deployment, and test execution to reduce manual effort and improve repeatability * Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for regression testing * Establish software and testing best practices that enable HITL systems to be used as a reliable part of the development and integration lifecycle * Support the physical stand-up, configuration, and maintenance of open-loop and closed-loop HITLs, and the integration of hardware, compute, networking, sensors, and other components required for HITL testing * Troubleshoot and resolve real-time simulation issues during HITL operations, including timing constraints, hardware interface problems, and model fidelity discrepancies * Work closely with software, systems, simulation, and hardware engineers to identify and resolve integration and test issues * Act with a strong safety mindset ("Stop, Think, Do") while operating in prototype and experimental environments with the aim of eliminating potential harm to team members. * Follow established procedures and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency, Anduril is committed to maintaining the integrity of our Talent acquisition process and the security of our candidates.
