## About the Role

* 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform.
 * Must hold a valid Google Cloud Professional Architect certification.
 * Proven experience in data migration and building data pipelines at enterprise scale.
 * Deep hands-on expertise with BigQuery (schema design, performance tuning, cost optimization).
 * Hands-on experience with Vertex AI for building and deploying ML models.
 * Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and IAM.
 * Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
 * Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices in the cloud.
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills., * Experience in the healthcare or life sciences industry.
 * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices on Google Cloud Platform.
 * Experience with Looker, Data Studio, or other BI tools.
 * Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.

## Description

* Design, architect, and implement end-to-end data solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
 * Lead large-scale data migration efforts from on-premises and/or other cloud platforms to Google Cloud Platform.
 * Build and optimize robust, scalable data pipelines using tools such as Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
 * Develop and manage data warehousing solutions using BigQuery, including schema design, partitioning, clustering, and query optimization.
 * Design and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions using Vertex AI.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
 * Establish and enforce cloud architecture best practices, security standards, and governance policies.
 * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
 * Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Google Cloud Platform environments for performance and cost efficiency.
 * Stay current with emerging Google Cloud Platform services and features, and recommend adoption where appropriate.
