## Description

This contracted Master Data Specialist role supports a governance team focused on cleaning, standardizing, and centralizing customer master and bill of material (BOM) data in preparation for an ERP implementation. You will work primarily remotely, collaborating closely with quality stakeholders to validate and transform data from multiple plants into consistent, system-ready formats. This position plays a key role in resolving inconsistent part numbering and improving data integrity across a distributed manufacturing environment., * Support master data governance initiatives related to customer master and BOM data in preparation for an ERP implementation.

 * Collaborate closely with the Quality Manager and other stakeholders to obtain accurate BOM and customer master details.
 * Receive, review, and pull data from multiple sources, including Excel spreadsheets, to ensure completeness and accuracy.
 * Assess whether incoming BOM and customer master information is complete, consistent, and usable, and follow up on gaps or discrepancies.
 * Transform and organize data from various plant locations into standardized formats that the organizations systems can read and process.
 * Work with large data sets and numerical information to identify inconsistencies, such as different part numbers for the same part, and help drive standardization.
 * Use Excel tools, including pivot tables and lookups, to analyze, validate, and reconcile master data.
 * Maintain clear documentation of data changes, assumptions, and decisions to support governance and auditability.
 * Operate effectively in situations where processes or requirements may be evolving, contributing to continuous improvement of data governance practices.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple plant locations to support centralized master data efforts and facilitate smoother ERP deployment.
