## About the Role

* 2+ years of experience with a programming language
 * 2+ years of experience with developing data pipelines, data modeling, schema configuration, data quality, standardization techniques, data integration, and data management
 * Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats
 * Ability to work in a big data environment, learn technical concepts quickly, demonstrate technical solutions, standards, and best practices, and communicate and demonstrate with multiple functional groups to include non-technical stakeholders
 * Ability to display initiative and solve problems with little guidance, be collaborative, resourceful, and achieve results in a matrixed environment
 * Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Development and 2+ years of experience as a data engineer, or 3+ years of experience as a data engineer in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

 * Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments, including Atlassian tools
 * Experience with rapid-response query solutions on big data platforms, including Solr, Elasticsearch, or similar scalable query engines
 * Experience with batch and real-time big data integration frameworks in private or public cloud environments, including AWS or Azure, and technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Impala
 * Knowledge of Zero Trust and role-based data access design
 * Knowledge of relational and dimensional modeling
 * Ability to research emerging technologies and industry trends independently
 * Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
 * Master's degree
 * Amazon Certified Solutions Architect certification
