## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business field
 * 7+ years of progressive Accounts Receivable or Cash Application experience, including payment reconciliation, banking transactions, and management of unapplied cash

 * Minimum 2 years of experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
 * Solid understanding of lockbox, ACH, wire, and other electronic payment processes, internal controls, and core accounting principles
 * Experience using ERP systems and cash application automation technology, preferably HighRadius
 * Ability to drive process improvements and automation initiatives
 * Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis, identify trends, and turn data into action

 * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships across functions

 * Advanced Excel and reporting skills, including building KPIs and executive-level reporting

## Description

Reporting to the Director, Shared Services, the Manager, Cash Application is responsible for leading all aspects of cash application operations, ensuring accurate and timely application of customer payments, maintaining a strong control environment, and driving continuous improvement. This role leads a team of cash application professionals while partnering across Finance, Sales, and Information Services to optimize processes, leverage automation, and improve working capital performance., * Own end-to-end cash application operations, ensuring customer payments are applied accurately, timely, and in accordance with established controls and procedures.

 * Lead a team of cash application specialists, setting priorities, managing workload, and driving accountability for performance and service-level expectations.

 * Drive the reduction of unapplied cash through proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, and targeted resolution plans.
 * Manage month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and related reporting requirements.
 * Maintain effective controls, procedures, and documentation in support of internal and external audit requirements.
 * Develop, coach, and retain talent while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence.
 * Develop and deliver executive reporting and operational analytics that provide visibility into KPIs, cash trends, process effectiveness, and team performance.
 * Initiate continuous improvement efforts focused on automation, standardization, and efficiency across the cash application function.
