## About the Role

* Senior-level, hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 2 years as a technical generalist working across backend systems.
 * Strong engineering fundamentals and ownership of core systems or greenfield projects, ideally in a small, fast-moving team.

## Description

Join a small engineering team building legal data infrastructure for AI-powered research tools and business data services. You will help expand and improve a large collection of U.S. laws and court decisions, making reliable legal information accessible to software products and organizations.
What You'll Do

 * Build data pipelines that enrich legal documents with relationships such as appeals, remands, and decisions that overrule earlier rulings.
 * Improve the reliability and accuracy of a large network of web scrapers.
 * Optimize and evaluate core systems for citation extraction and resolution, and for modeling relationships between courts.
 * Expose data services through APIs and other real-time integrations.
 * Develop benchmarks and evaluations for core tasks using human and synthetic data.
