## About the Role

* 10+ years' experience in DevOps, Automation or Platform Engineering.
 * Minimum 2 years' experience working within IBM Z environments.
 * Experience with zOSMF and zOAU would be highly advantageous.
 * Strong hands-on experience with:
 * Jenkins
 * GitHub
 * Ansible Automation Platform
 * Python
 * HashiCorp Vault
 * API Integrations
 * Nexus
 * Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise automation solutions.
 * Strong understanding of DevOps governance, controls and compliance.

## Description

We're supporting a major enterprise technology programme seeking a Senior DevOps Automation Engineer to help drive automation, platform modernisation and engineering best practice across a complex environment.

This is a hands-on role requiring deep automation expertise, strong technical leadership capabilities and proven experience operating within IBM Z environments. You'll work closely with engineering teams to improve delivery pipelines, automate operational processes and drive DevOps maturity across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

 * Designing and implementing automation solutions across enterprise platforms.
 * Building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
 * Driving DevOps best practices, governance and engineering standards.
 * Developing automation using Ansible, Python and API integrations.
 * Supporting platform modernisation and operational efficiency initiatives.
 * Providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers across delivery teams.
 * Working closely with stakeholders to improve automation and release capabilities.
 * Identifying opportunities to eliminate manual processes through automation.
