## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
 * Strong software development experience with Java including Spring framework.
 * Experience or academic background in astrodynamics (e.g., orbital mechanics, space object tracking, propagation, or related).
 * Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
 * Experience with modern databases (MongoDB, Redis) and distributed data processing.
 * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.
 * Good communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic team environment developing solutions from both written and spoken requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

 * Security+ certification
 * Knowledge of Agile development process
 * Experience with Jira
 * Experience with continuous integration technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo
 * Experience with Java development tools such as IntelliJ, VS Code, Eclipse IDE, Gradle
 * Familiarity with Git and Bitbucket

## Description

* Design, develop, and maintain software components in Java and Spring.
 * Apply astrodynamics knowledge to develop algorithms and software supporting SDA mission requirements.
 * Build, test, and deploy microservices in a containerized environment using Docker and Kubernetes.
 * Work with distributed systems and data platforms, including MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
 * Integrate with and leverage messaging frameworks such as ActiveMQ and Kafka.
 * Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, resilient software systems.
 * Collaborate closely with systems engineers, data scientists, and mission experts to deliver high-quality solutions.
