## About the Role

* Proven design experience across CCTV/VSS, access control and intruder detection
 * Solid electrical engineering fundamentals: power distribution, protection, earthing/bonding, cable design and fault-finding
 * Knowledge of resilience engineering, including redundancy and fail-secure/fail-safe behaviour
 * HNC/HND/degree in electrical or electronic engineering, or equivalent experience
 * Recognised electrical/safety training aligned to site requirements
 * Enhanced BPSS and SC clearance required
 * Beneficial: vendor training or certification on major VMS, ACS or IDS platforms

## Description

* Turn risk assessments, threat models and operational requirements into engineering specifications
 * Develop design concepts covering architecture, resilience and failure modes
 * Produce design packs: schematics, panel designs, cable schedules, device layouts, containment and network topologies
 * Select equipment based on environment, threat profile, maintainability and lifecycle cost
 * Design to relevant standards, client governance and information-assurance requirements
 * Work with project and installation teams to ensure designs are practical and deliverable
