## About the Role

* 10 plus years of IT and Cyber Security experience
 * Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 4 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
 * A firm understanding of the Risk Management Framework processes.
 * IAT II certification and relevant Computing Environment (CE) training as defined in DoDM 8140.03
 * Experience with eMASS including obtaining/maintaining system ATOs.
 * Experience with the following tools: ACAS, Nessus, ePO, Tycon, Evaluate STIG, SCAP Scan, etc.
 * Experience completing security evaluations of software systems and architectures to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
 * Experience preparing and maintaining SSP or security related documentation.
 * Experience proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
 * Demonstrated experience performing day-today security operations of complicated information and information processing systems.
 * Security + CE or other applicable cyber security certification.
 * Verifiable Information Technology training.
 * Must be a U.S. Citizen
 * Active security clearance

In this position, you will act as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for a complex information system supporting research and development activities at the DEVCOM Armaments Center, Picatinny Arsenal.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the Information Security team. Duties include:

 * Provide support for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
 * Assist with the configuration management of information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
 * Maintain the operational security posture for an information system or program.
 * Provide support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for maintaining the appropriate operational security posture for a system, program, or enclave.
 * Develop and maintain system security plans and other IA documentation for Assessment & Authorization (A&A) in accordance with DOD policies.
 * Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M).
 * Auditing and Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) of the IS.
 * Perform Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) checks/validation.
 * Maintain effective stakeholder communications regarding all relevant information security incidents, tasks, and accomplishments.
 * Other information security related duties as assigned dictated by mission requirements.
