## About the Role

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * You will lead architecture and requirements development activities that define, characterize, develop and document Ground Based Radar (GBR) systems in the form of architectural framework updates, system-of-system functional and performance requirements, detailed algorithm descriptions, test scenario definition, and verification approach.

 * You will conduct requirements analysis to verify system-level performance requirements.
 * Experience coding system models, algorithms, test scripts, and evaluation tools for radar performance analysis.
 * Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
 * Experience interfacing with customers and leading technical solutions to complex problems.
 * Experience developing and maintaining engineering processes and tools.
 * Experience with Agile development practices, including JIRA and Confluence.
 * Excellent communication, technical writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
 * Experience working independently and within geographically distributed teams.
 * This role is based onsite in Huntsville, AL.
 * Travel is 10% - 15% domestically.

Qualification You Must Have

 * Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
 * Experience with radar systems.
 * Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and/or Cameo.
 * Experience with MATLAB and/or Linux.

Qualifications We Prefer

 * Advanced STEM degree.
 * Knowledge of radar concepts, including detection, discrimination, tracking, and signal processing algorithm performance.
 * Experience with Python, C/C++, or Java.
 * Experience with Agile development practices, including JIRA and Confluence.
 * Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.

Raytheon's Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is currently looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to support the Huntsville AL/Kentucky Department. We specialize in concept development, architecture design, requirements generation and flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test, and evaluation of advanced Missile Defense and Sensor Systems. In this role, you will support the modernization of Ground-Based Radar (GBR) systems by defining and analyzing system requirements, developing system architectures, and partnering closely with system, software, and integration/test engineering teams.
