translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and solution designs * Develop and implement API integrations (REST, SOAP, JDBC) to connect Appian applications with legacy systems, cloud platforms, and third-party services in enterprise environments * Design and execute ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data migrations from legacy systems to new Appian-based environments; ensure data integrity and compliance throughout migrations * Develop and optimize SQL queries and relational database designs; work with Oracle, SQL Server, and other database technologies to support Appian data models and integration * Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms; ensure compliance with security standards, FISMA requirements, and federal accessibility guidelines (Section 508) * Support cybersecurity requirements and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities, including implementing required security controls, preparing system security documentation, and coordinating with ISSOs/ISSMs to help achieve and maintain system accreditation * Conduct code reviews, peer programming sessions, and technical documentation; establish and maintain coding standards and implementation best practices across projects * Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives; manage tasks and deliverables using Jira and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams * Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues;
