The Senior Software Developer will be a partner in developing the individual and team spaces, as well as helping create, upgrade, and support a range of tools and technologies used by the Union. We are in the process of taking increasing control over our technology rather than relying heavily on 3rd parties for software development. Job Responsibilities In the support, maintenance, and new development of software: * Develop new features, enhance existing features, upgrade packages, improve supportability, and fix or troubleshoot on UNITE HERE's software suite * Collaborate with other developers and department staff to support required applications * Review code and pair with other team members to drive high standards for quality: maintain high unit test coverage, and build and maintain a robust release testing framework * Make project plans that balance the features, technology, people and timelines * Be a part of making the bigger picture plan for our team and our technical roadmap * Keep up to date with industry trends and technology developments.
