## Description

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER BACKEND will lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-scale, serverless backend services using AWS and Python. This role is responsible for owning backend systems end-to-end, ensuring their reliability, security, and scalability. The engineer will collaborate with multiple teams to build foundational services that support both member-facing and enterprise integrations, contributing directly to the delivery of consistent and effective healthcare experiences., * Design and build resilient serverless systems leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, EventBridge, and Kafka.

 * Architect fault-tolerant workflows for core healthcare processes including claims and eligibility management.
 * Develop and evolve backend APIs for B2C and B2B integrations.
 * Implement backend services in Python with a focus on test-driven development.
 * Ensure codebases are maintainable, reliable, and scalable.
 * Implement secure data flows and storage aligned with healthcare compliance requirements.
 * Manage structured and semi-structured healthcare data, collaborating with analytics and data engineering teams.
 * Own systems throughout the development lifecycle including deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvements.
 * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring dashboards.
 * Enhance system reliability through automated monitoring and well-defined service level objectives.
 * Lead architectural discussions and propose scalable solutions.
 * Mentor engineering team members and contribute to hiring.
 * Collaborate with product teams to define technical requirements and deliver features.
